5 Tips for Helping Your Child Read Early
Start with Sounds, Not Letters
Focus on phonemic awareness—help your child recognize the sounds that letters make (e.g., /b/ for B). This builds a strong foundation for blending sounds into words.
Make Reading Fun and Interactive
Use colorful books, sound effects, and ask questions while reading. Make it a bonding time, not a chore. The more enjoyable it is, the more they’ll want to read.
Read Aloud Daily
