GenAI & Agentic AI - Facts no one is telling you about 🎯

1. GenAI models are trained to be confident, not to be correct which leads to hallucination

2. Training GPT-3 emitted as much carbon as 5 cars over their entire lifetime.

3. Agentic AI takes auto actions across tools it doesn't just respond, it executes.

4. Most GenAI models have never seen live internet but outdated datasets.

5. AI has no real memory each conversation starts fresh unless you manually feed it context.

6. Temperature controls creativity vs accuracy:
Higher = wild ideas
Lower = predictable outputs

7. Good prompts boost output quality massivly, specificity is everything in AI.

8. GenAI is trained on copyrighted content under "fair use"

9. Agentic AI can write, debug, and deploy its own code

10. AI winters crashed the industry in 1974 & 1987, hype cycles aren't new

GenAI - generates content
Agentic AI - takes actions

28M developers can't be wrong, meet the Lang family taking over GenAI 🎯

Lang family is taking over GenAI world faster than you can say prompt engineering.

LangChain alone has 28M monthly downloads.
LangChain alone has 120K+ GitHub stars.
LangSmith alone is using LangGraph in 43% of organisations

1. LangChain(The OG Foundation)
β€’ Connects LLMs with external data, APIs, and logic
β€’ Helps building modular workflows with prompts, tools, memory & retrievers

Link: www.langchain.com/

LangGraph(The Orchestrator)
β€’ Manages complex, stateful workflows & perfect for production-ready agents
β€’ Handles those "what if it fails halfway" scenarios that keep you up at night

Link: lnkd.in/dpdgeDkx

LangSmith(The Debugger's Best Friend)
β€’ 250K+ users, 1B trace logs, and 25K+ monthly active teams
β€’ Shows you exactly where your LLM went rogue

Link: www.langsmith.com/

Langfuse(The Open Source Hero)
β€’ Framework-agnostic observability with detailed tracing and analytics
β€’ Deep insights into token usage, costs, and performance

Link: langfuse.com/

The Lang ecosystem has become the standard.

In 2024, tool calls in traces jumped from 0.5% to 21.9%

You can build with other frameworks, but when debugging at 2 AM, you'll wish you had the Lang family's tracing. Trust me on this one. πŸ˜…

In AI - C̢o̢n̢t̢e̢n̢t̢ Context is a king 🎯

GenAI & Agentic AI - Context is not just important. Its everything.

Example: "Book a table" vs "Book a table near our office where we celebrated last year". The later gets you good results.

Every word of context costs AI a token.
Just like RAM, more context you load - more you pay.

It's like texting
"Can you grab that thing?" - which leaves anyone confused.
"Can you grab the blue folder from my desk?" - gets the results.

Context engineering isn't about cramming everything in but its more about strategically searching.

Top 5 pillars of GenAI applications 🎯

After years of leading engineering teams & watching AI transform from "cool demos" to "production nightmare". Here are my 5 cents on what any standard GenAI apps need.

1. Orchestration:
- Your AI agents need a receptionist to navigate all request to right directions.
- Goal is to coordinate multi-agent workflows Eg. Vercel, CrewAI, LangGraph

2. Prompt Management & Observability:
- "It worked on my machine" doesn't fly in AI land.
- Langfuse and HumanLoop let you manage & track prompts on production

3. AI Agent Evaluation:
- If you can't measure it, you can't improve it.
- TruLens & DeepEval help you quantify & evaluate Agent performance

4. Agentic QA Automation:
- Manual testing AI workflows? In 2025? CypressAI brings automation
- Because life's too short to test 47 edge cases manually every sprint.

5. Memory & Cache Management:
- Agents without memory are like engineers without coffee β˜•
- Mem0 & Pinecone ensure your AI actually remembers context
- Agents wont ask users to repeat themselves like a goldfish.

Building GenAI apps without these pillars is like
building a house without a foundation.

It might stand for a demo
but production will bring it down
faster than you can say "token limit exceeded."

Been there, learned that.
Now sharing so you don't have to. πŸ˜…

Amazon offering 50+ LPA for GenAI Engineers
Microsoft offering 45+ LPA for GenAI Engineers
Zomato, Stripe are offering 45-50+ LPA for GenAI Engineers

What's stopping you?

After 10 years in tech and helping dozens make this transition, here's what actually works:

🎯 10 Tips to land job offers(Specially GenAI Engineer roles):
1. Stop overthinking on current roles & switch it if really interested

2. Devote 3 hrs everyday to prep for yourself(Best investment)

3. Don't prepare in cilos. Find mentors (M happy to help - link in comments)

4. Prepare your resume that ATS and humans both can shortlist

5. Send cold emails/DMs to TAs(At least 25 per day) - it works!

6. Be ready for initial rejections. The pattern is:

Failed-Work-Failed-Work-Work-Failed-Work-Work-Work-Success!

7. Learn to sell your profile. Perfect interview is when you sell yourself well

8. Discipline is directly proportional to desires. Trade well here.

9. On Interview day - Keep the mind empty. Dont overload

10. Keep learning and unlearning attitude always.

Follow 6 of these 10 tips, and you're positioning yourself for success.
