Is nHA toothpaste really better than fluoride? There’s a lot of hype around nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA) toothpaste lately, but is it *actually* a better choice than fluoride?

The answer: not necessarily. While nHA is promising, most products aren’t regulated, don’t list the proper concentration, and may not even contain the type of particles that work.

Fluoride, on the other hand, is regulated, backed by decades of research, and proven effective—especially in acidic environments where cavities form.

Swipe through this post to learn more—and find out why I still stick with fluoride for now.

💬 Have you used nHA toothpaste? What’s been your experience? Let’s talk!

Had another filming day for my dental skit videos! 🎬🦷

These “things patients say” and “embarrassing moments as a dental professional” videos are truly some of my favorites to make. I get so many messages from you all saying they make you feel seen, understood, and not alone in what we experience every day in dentistry and that means everything to me.

It can be tough as healthcare professionals… sometimes we feel isolated in our own little operatories. So creating these skits is my way of helping us (1) giggle together (2) feel a sense of camaraderie and (3) come together as a community.

Plus filming with my friends (the hilarious actors in the videos) is always a blast. We laugh SO much on set!

Stay tuned… a bunch of new toothy skits are coming your way soon!
