Excited to see this documentary about my mentor and friend Stuart Scott
I 2as s a young sports broadcaster working at the NBC affiliate in Hartford, CT, when I befriended Stuart, Jason Jackson, David Aldridge, Kevin Frazier and so many others who had connections to ESPN! These gentlemen all poured into me beyond my wildest dreams and made me the award-winning journalist I am today! All of them, especially Stuart, taught me the importance of being myself and of always giving back of your time. I cherish our conversations, our lunches, and oh yes, our rounds of golf (many of them beyond adventurous 😄) at Wampanoag Country Club in West Hartford.
What is true for a work career is also true in life. Surround yourself with good mentors that will not only guide you but celebrate you! Stuart Scott was definitely that for me! Miss Him PLENTY, but thankful to God that our paths crossed 🙏🏾
Continue To Rest Easy My Brother! Well Done! Your work and impact on this planet was massive! 👊🏾
