Bikepacking around Scotland and the UK no matter the time of year in all kinds weather. Learning as I go and sharing my adventures and product recommendations with the world of YouTube!
Ladies and Gentlemen! It has been quite a while since I have been in a position to think about getting a video online.
However, at the start of April I have some new gear I’m looking to try out. I have a new bivvy and a new sleeping mat. A friend of mine wanted to go for a hike and a camp out so that’s what I’ll be doing. No bike this time but pretty excited to try the new gear out.
I would strongly suggest keeping an eye out for the mat review as it’s far cheaper than some of the big brands and has an r-value above 7… Could be a game changer if you’re a cold sleeper like me!
Hope you’re all well and thanks for the continued support 😊
One of you lovely lot commented to let people know that the Ortlieb 16.5L Seat Pack is now only £105 on Tredz! Snap one up and check my review video if you’re in the market for a seat pack 👌🏻
Quick question: How have you found the new review videos? Did they answer questions you may have had? Did they cover the details you require? Did they persuade you to buy a new bag? Just after some feedback 😊
Hope you're all doing well this week 😊 After a fairly busy few months I am back at it again with reviews of some bags from the Yorkshire company Restrap. Be sure to head across and have a look - especially if you're in the market for some new gear or you fancy treating yourself!
If you get time to let me know what you think of the bag, the video etc I would appreciate that a lot.
Alpkit have a huge 50% off this extremely lightweight, extremely warm, 800 fill power down jacket. If you’re like me and struggle with the cold a jacket like this is a must in the bikepacking kit. Very packable!
FYI - Alpkit pay me nothing for this promotion 😂 I’ll be doing a review once it arrives and I’ve tested it out. However, all my other Alpkit jackets are very good.
- Trek 800 Series OCLV Carbon Frame - Ultegra 11 Speed Di2 (R8050) - Fully integrated cockpit - Bontrager Aeolus Elite Bike Saddle - Bontrager Aeolus Pro 37mm Carbon Wheels (tubeless ready) - Pirelli P Zero Tubeless Setup 28mm (sub 100 miles ridden) - Favero Assioma power meter pedals (dual sided) can be included at a total price of £4100. These retail around £500 - £550.
Finally! Back at it! Tough couple of months but I’m working on getting back to the videos and reviews.
I’ve been speaking with the people at Restrap regarding a collaboration (check their Bikepacking bags out if you’re in the market for some) and coming soon will be a new trio of bags for my trips. Pretty excited to compare them to my Ortlieb set up and let you all know how they perform!
I’ll keep it short - Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for everything throughout 2023. Looking for some normality to return in 2024 so catch you all really soon.
I clearly underestimated the amount of time and work that the recent house move would take. Especially with two young kids! If I can get a December trip in I will but if not I apologise for the lack of content recently 😩
I’m still here, I still have plans, so thankyou for the continued support.
If I don’t see you beforehand - have a great Christmas and New Year!
