Hope you're all doing well and you had a good holiday time and NYE. And hope this year will be another banger for ARPGs.

small channel update:

1. The state of PoE 2
I was still playing PoE 2 over the holidays and had a video lined up on how the pre X-mas buffs to temple for me really saved the league. I was having a great time after those bufs, building my temple, I thought it was a nice redemption story after the bad start, and I was happy to work on that.

Until, the last 2 days, GGG released 2 'hotfixes' that for casual temple enjoyers like me, made it impossible to build a temple. I agree with nerfing the loot, I had insane loot as well, but not allowing us to lock chains is one of the worst decisions they've made in a long time.

And so, that video isn't coming. I hope in the coming days, GGG will reconsider, because I've quit as a result of this 'hotfix'. There's just no point as the only reason for me for playing (building the temple a.k.a. playing the new patch), has been removed by these patches. As my mom would say, I'm not angry, I'm disappointed.

2. Sabbatical

As some of you know, the last 2 months (Nov / Dec) I've been on a 2-month sabbatical from work, in which I wanted to see what full-time content creation was like. I've made 24 videos during that time, and I had a great time doing so. I'm also happy to return back to my job tomorrow, however.

This means I'll be back to a video schedule from before the sabbatical, with 1-2 videos per week, most likely. Assuming I have something to show you :)

I'm still playing PoE 2 a lot, but rather than shorter single episodes, I'm going to make a big one instead. That'll take a bit more time to complete, but after a very rough start, I'm now progressing quite nicely.


Hope you're having a good league start, if you're playing. How's the league treating you so far?

I took a small break from the foulborn roulette, but I'm working on another one at the moment. I'll probably be streaming some of the progress here as well on YouTube. I started yesterday, so it might be a few days still before a new video.

Hey everyone,

I thought the Gauntlet started tonight, but it's already running. I'm editing another wheel build episode, new build, but will try a bit of Gauntlet first and likely make a video about that first (if it's interesting/fun/leedvermaak). Otherwise you'd get one wheel build video, then a gauntlet, and then episode 2 of wheel build. Doesn't make much sense. That means next video is going to take a little longer.

Hey everyone,

My PC died last Saturday, which can happen. However, it was pretty bad, so bad I can't even access folders anymore to create a backup of files. I do make regular backups, like every few months, but that won't help me much here.

It had so much footage on it, and templates, and music, and various saved files, of the last months, which are now all gone. Including a multi episode series about progression in SSF where I started a new character and showed every upgrade I got, with an explanation, and my line of thinking. I was very excited about that one and had two episodes written and recorded, until lvl 85.

So right now, I'm a little bit demotivated, as I know how much time it will take to get that all back.

On the bright side, I have a new PC which seems to work fine. And everything is installed again. It's just going to take time to be able to release a new PoE video. And I might make one or two videos not related to PoE while I get things back together again.

Just wanted to give you an update, and manage expectations. Hope you all have a great week, love you all, see you soon, bye bye.

Hope you're doing well.

I haven't made many videos the last few weeks, simply because I was busy with work. Also, the league kind of was at its end, although I do have some more video ideas to try.

Right now, I'm on a small holiday. I'm visiting a friend in Los Angeles. I'm back in 1,5 weeks, back to Amsterdam, and I'll take a look at the PoE events and see what kind of content I'll create.

Hey everyone, hope you're doing well.

First, I'd like to thank everyone for tuning in to the PoE SSF videos the last half year, and I'm grateful for all the new subs. Great to see all of you join, also in the Discord.

Second, I'm currently on a small holiday for a week with my GF, touching sand (not grass) on the beach. See the picture. So no videos for a little while, but after that the SSF content will continue. I'll probably write a script or two when I'm here, I brought a notebook.

Hey all,

Just a small update. I've started a new job in RL which is taking up a lot of time. Fun though, don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the work and opportunity there. I'm still gaming quite a lot, but haven't been writing or editing much lately.

I'm playing Starfield, Phantom Liberty, Torchlight Infinite S2, Undecember and PoE on the steam deck (pohx RF Jugg). Not promising content on all of these, but might make a video or two about these titles.

What have you been playing? Anything I'm missing out on I should try? Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen are still on the list.
