Welcome to Pixelated Dust, a sanctuary for analog sound in a digital world. We believe music shouldn't just be heard; it is an experience.

Every video on this channel is a dedicated, start-to-finish recording of a single side of a record. No cuts, no digital filler—just the mechanical ritual of the needle meeting the groove. From the initial crackle to the final run-out, we capture the "dust" and the "pixels" in stunning detail.

What to Expect:

Pure Analog Chain: Direct-input recordings (no room mics) for maximum warmth.

Visual ASMR: High-definition, moody visuals of spinning wax and moving tonearms.

Full Experience: Complete album sides, exactly as the artist intended.

Modern Hi-Fi: Digital heart, Analog soul. 💻🎸

Moving from the 60s/70s archives this week into something more modern. I’m currently uploading the full archive for The 1975 — A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.

This double LP is a production chameleon. It jumps from the jagged, distorted energy of 'Give Yourself a Try' to the lush, jazz-infused layers of 'Mine.'

I’ve captured this at 16-bit / 48kHz through the Pluto 2 specifically to see how it handles the separation of those modern synths versus the tight, dry percussion. The clarity on this 180g pressing is clinical.

The full 15-track archive is available now. 🎥

To the 1975 fans in the community: Do you think Matty’s production style actually belongs on vinyl, or is this an album made for the digital era? Let’s settle it in the comments! 👇

The mid-60s 'Studio Era' starts here. 🍏🎸

While the archive finishes uploading, I’m spinning the 2012 180g Stereo Remaster of The Beatles — Rubber Soul.

This pressing, sourced from the 1987 digital masters, is often a point of contention for purists—but on the Pluto 2 preamp, the separation and clarity of the acoustic guitars on 'Michelle' and the sitar on 'Norwegian Wood' are undeniably sharp.

I’ve captured this at 16-bit / 48kHz to ensure that 'analog warmth' remains intact, even in a digital-to-analog-to-digital chain.

The full archive drops tonight. 🎥

Beatles fans: Are you a 2012 Stereo convert, or is it 2014 Mono or nothing for this era? Let me know your preferred pressing below! 👇

Is this the definitive version of Can't Buy a Thrill? 🎸✨

Today in the archive, we’re spinning the 2022 50th Anniversary 180g reissue of Steely Dan’s debut. This master was cut by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tapes, and the results are clinical.

To capture that legendary 'dry' 70s studio warmth, I’ve archived the full album at 16-bit / 48kHz. The instrument separation on 'Do It Again' and the bite of the guitars on 'Reelin' In The Years' have never sounded more transparent on my setup.

The full high-fidelity archive is live on the channel now. Head over to the 'Videos' tab to hear how this remaster holds up against the original 1972 pressings.

Question for the Dan fans: Is this the best-sounding 180g reissue in your collection, or does the UHQR still hold the crown? 👇

The definitive archive of an alt-rock masterpiece. 🕯️🎸

I’ve just released the full high-fidelity archive of Sonic Youth — Daydream Nation.

We’re spinning the 2007 Goofin' Records reissue. Unlike the original single-disc pressings, this 2xLP set allows the 'wall of sound' guitars to breathe. I’ve captured every harmonic and alternate-tuning shimmer in 16-bit / 48kHz to ensure the separation remains pin-sharp.

The full archive is live on the channel now. Tap the 'Videos' tab to hear 'Teen Age Riot' and the 'Trilogy' in their full analog-sourced glory.

SY Fans: Does this 2007 remaster take the crown, or are you staying loyal to the original '88 Enigma pressing? Let’s talk shop in the comments. 👇

"The Han-Tyumi saga has arrived in the archive. 🦎🤖

We’re diving deep into King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard — Murder of the Universe (Live at Red Rocks '22). This is the standalone We Are Busy Bodies bootlegger pressing, featuring the stunning 'White Sparkle' vinyl.

To handle the sheer density of the triple-guitar attack from Morrison, Colorado, I’ve captured this full 45-minute suite in 16-bit / 48kHz. No compression, no digital 'mush'—just the raw, open-air energy of the mountain.

The full archive is live on the channel now. Check the 'Videos' tab to hear 'Vomit Coffin' and 'The Lord of Lightning' exactly as they were cut to the wax.

Has anyone actually done this 100-piece puzzle while listening to the full set? 🧩✨

The Archive is leveling up. 🌊🕯️

Following the 1977 soul of Pink Floyd, we’re pivoting to a modern masterpiece. This is my personal copy of Yussef Dayes - Live from Malibu, signed by the man himself.

I’m fascinated by the physics of drumming this dynamic. I’ve dialed in the M-Audio M-Track Solo to capture every ghost note and cymbal wash in bit-perfect 16-bit / 48kHz.

The cinematic soul of Ghost Funk Orchestra hits differently when you can hear the raw analog signal. 🕯️🎷

I archived Side 2 of A Song for Paul to see how the LP Gear Carbon handled those dense, haunting brass layers. The results are exactly what I hoped for—pure, uncompressed grit.

This is the first of many deep-cut archives coming to Pixelated Dust.

Is there a more iconic 'driving' bass tone than William Cashion’s? 🎸

I just archived the full Side A of Future Islands’ latest, People Who Aren't There Anymore. Capturing tracks like 'King of Sweden' and 'The Tower' through the Pluto 2 really lets that bass breathe in a way digital just can't match.

Which side of this new record are you spinning more?
