Hello, I'm Dustin, the curator of content on the funkybeatdown channel. I've been a dj since the early 2000's. My main focus is hip hop music, but I do have a vast collection of other genres of music. Music that I think is worth hearing, I will upload to this channel. All the music you'll hear on this channel is from my personal vinyl record collection. Enjoy!

Just to clear some stuff up about my channel:
I post a lot of obscure music. Some people may like the music I post, some may not.
My mission on this channel has always been to expose music on vinyl that never got the spotlight. Just because some music is unheard of doesn’t automatically mean it’s crap. I didn’t make any of the music I post, so don’t blame me.
If you don’t like my channel, there are plenty of other music YouTube channels to choose from. I can’t make everyone happy and even if I did I’d be trying too hard.

A little bit of an unnecessary rant. I've put a lot of years and time into this channel and YouTube in general does not acknowledge this. As much as I don't want money to be the main focus, I think it would be kind of cool to make some money from this channel. Yes, I know I'm uploading other artists content, but still.
Maybe I should just be thankful that people watch at all. The whole YouTube algorithm is ridiculous. I refuse to upload music that people want to hear.
At the end of the day, I'm still going to upload music whether I get attention or not. It's always about the music, first and foremost. Money is nice, but it can't replace passion and creativity.
