Alternate Day Fasting | Before . During . There
They say you can tell the amount of weight you've lost based on your face. So far, I have lost over 40 lbs with alternate day fasting. It isn't a magic pill or a crash diet, it's a way to lose weight in a sustainable way while regulating your hormones and getting past insulin resistance. Cheers to meeting goals #adf #womenwellness #weightloss #weightrelease #alternatedayfastingresults

My favorite part of this season is twirling while singing love songs.
It's the silent lines of unwritten poems that run through my mind but never get written down.
And the loud music that plays and the incense that burns while I curate the energy of my home.

I simply can't be replaced when it comes to cooking for my family. And I say this as someone who has cooked Thanksgiving dinner before getting married and creating a family of my own.
The flavors
The ingredients, one being the love, simply aren't the same.
This is one reason I love being fully prepared.
Have you ever had to wait hungrily as someone prepares Thanksgiving dinner. It is supposed to be ready by 3:00 and yet it is 5:00 p.m. And it still isn't ready?
That happened a few times.
And one tip that I have grown to that does not require others to suffer due to my lack of preparedness is having a meal that is already prepared.
Breakfast and lunch are made a meal ahead of time.
This allows my lived ones and possibly guests have something to enjoy as they await the grand meal we'll have in the evening.
This also allows the yummy spaciousness I need and the freedom to flow as I move about the kitchen putting finishing touches on each meal prior to serving the grand Thanksgiving dinner.
Let life be delicious. 🌹🥂

I have been feeling like summertime is written all over me
As if the words written in ink are lifting due to the humidity.
As if mead is being created by the mer existence of peaches and honey
A syrupy sweet
Dewy skin to match the flowing of my sundress as the sun casts rays of glistening light into my eyes allowing the dark irises to reveal the interconnecting craters and galaxies within
The humidity of the air air makes it so thick
And yet my entire body loves it!
It reminds me of my first home.
Watching out the window after a rain, you could see the fresh water evaporating with a cloud of light mist and fog rising to the sky.
My hair wind tossed and skin kissed by the sun creating a rich chocolate hue.
Summertime is written all over me.
And this summer will go down in the books. 🌹🥂

The continuation (2/2)
5. Home environment | "The two shall become one" Genesis 2:24. And living as two completely different individuals while living under one home is a transition. What house temperature do you enjoy? What about your partner? What about the ambiance? Talk about the home environment with the 5 senses in mind. Music or TV? Candles? Incense? Curtains or no? It sounds silly but I promise you'll want to discuss this! 😆
6. Family traditions and routines | What are your favorite family traditions? Which ones do you plan to keep? Do you plan to create any with the family you make? This will help you explore what your partner not only liked in their childhood, but what you can expect as you grow together as a couple and a family.
7. Respect and receiving love | How does your partner feel respected? How do they feel loved? This may be a no-brainer, but truly listen to your partner and their response. Is this something that you feel capable of being able to meet?
8. Family relationships and expectations | When and how often will you visit them if they live far? What expectations do you have if they live close?
I hope these are helpful!
I'd love to know what other conversations you would add to the list. Let me know below!

I believe that communication is the backbone to any good relationship. My husband and I have been friends for 5 years prior to us even dating. Many of the conversations that we had were very base level. But once we decided to take it to the next level, our conversations were filled with intention.
Here are eight conversations you may want to have before saying "I do".
1. Personal goals and aspirations | Where do you see yourself in 20, 30, 40, 50+ years? What is a dream that you have always wanted to explore? Who do you see yourself being? These are a few questions that you may want to ask yourself before having this conversation or even being available for a spouse. But once you are in that space, it is imperative that you have this conversation with them.
2. Religion and/or spirituality | What do you believe? Oftentimes, our religious and spiritual beliefs can clash with others. That is why it is one of the conversations that is often a times seen as a taboo. However, if you are planning to spend your life with someone, this is definitely a conversation that must be had for a fruitful and delicious marriage.
3. The husband and wife duties | What do you expect, and what should they expect from you? This will alleviate a lot of tension that can come from entering a new role that one has yet to truly explore or learn through the teachings of others. Let life be delicious.
4. Children | This is a big one! Do you want children? Do they want children? How do you plan to educate them? What forms of guidance do you believe to be appropriate? Will there be screen time? What diet will there have if you and your spouse have different diets? This list can go on and on but to get the ball rolling, you may want discuss your own childhood and the things you'd like to implement and what you'd like to end. Breaking generational curses while creating generational blessings?! Yes please!
