Dissertation Academy

Starting on the 2nd June, I will be posting every Tuesday, 8am UK time.

I have finished a healthy number of videos, which will keep weekly uploads going for several months.

All the videos for June are scheduled and ready to be released on the right day.

Uploads will be a mix of traditional tutorials and videos from a 5-part series on Abstract Thinking - The Researcher's Superpower.

In July I will also be launching another video series about a topic that will become an important part of this channel. Watch this space!

Dissertation Academy

This channel has been quiet as I have been extremely busy with teaching, supervision and studying (yes, I have gone back studying fulltime for a Masters!).

I have also been working a lot in the background and weekly videos will be released over the next months.

I am finalising two video collections:
🦸 One about what I call the researcher's superpower [Made up of 5 videos]
🛠 One about a toolkit [6 videos to start with + toolkit]

I also have a couple of videos that will be released later this month, one about the methodology and another about the literature review.

In the meantime, look at this beauty of editing. I have been changing the style a bit to bring in more text graphics to support the explanation.

Dissertation Academy

Making the most of a cold which has kept me at home for several days, I managed to write quite a few blog posts to share on the www.dissertation.academy website.

Three are now published:
👉 Asking your supervisor for feedback on your quantitative research data collection plans? Include this information.
👉 The puzzle of writing: Comparing jigsaw puzzles and dissertations
👉 Qualitative data analysis - 8 recommendations of good practice

The posts for the rest of May and June are already scheduled. Posts are published every Tuesday at 7am BST.

Some of the themes I'll coverin future posts include:
📌Comparing your dissertation progress: Helpful or harmful?
📌Quantitative or qualitative research design? Key considerations when making a decision
📌Mastering the art of literature search

What topics would you like me to cover in the blog (or in the videos)?
