A major development has come in the death case of model-turned-actor Twisha Sharma.
The CBI has filed a 636-page chargesheet before the CBI Court against Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh.
According to the chargesheet, both have been booked under:
• Section 80(2), BNS - Dowry Death
• Section 85, BNS - Cruelty by husband or relatives
• Section 108, BNS - Abetment of Suicide
• Section 3(5), BNS - Common intention
• Sections 3 & 4, Dowry Prohibition Act - Giving/taking and demanding dowry
■ What happened?
Twisha, a model-turned-actor from Noida, married lawyer Samarth Singh in December 2025 and moved to Bhopal to live with her in-laws.
On 12 May 2026, she was found dead at her in-laws’ residence in Bhopal.
Following her death, her family alleged dowry harassment and claimed that she had been driven to suicide. An FIR was registered against Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh, followed by a police investigation and demands from Twisha’s family for an independent probe.
The matter was subsequently transferred to the CBI, which has now filed the 636-page chargesheet against the two accused. Samarth was taken into custody on 22 May after reaching court to surrender.
This case is now at a crucial stage and the next question is what happens after the chargesheet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the Government will set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leak cases.
In his statement, the Prime Minister said that the welfare and future of India's youth is the government's top priority and that those responsible for compromising students' future "will not be spared."
If implemented effectively, fast-track courts could reduce delays in prosecution, improve accountability, and send a strong message against organized examination fraud.
However, many students are also asking an important question:
Will fast-track courts alone solve the problem, or are deeper reforms in exam security, NTA functioning, and recruitment processes also needed?
What do you think?
👇 Should the government focus only on strict punishment, or also on preventing paper leaks before they happen?

The Delhi High Court has issued notice on an interim injunction application filed by Salman Khan against the proposed film Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy. The application forms part of his suit seeking protection of his personality rights.
According to the plea, the film's promotional material allegedly contains references that make him identifiable, including a lookalike wearing a bracelet associated with him. Salman Khan has argued that the film unlawfully exploits his personality rights and falsely portrays events connected to him.
His legal team further submitted that the film appears to be inspired by the 1998 blackbuck case and that the continued promotion of the project could impact public perception while related proceedings remain pending.
A Vacation Bench of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna issued notice to the defendants and sought their response. The Court has not granted any stay on the film at this stage. The matter is now listed for hearing on 19 June 2026.

BIG UPDATE in the Twisha Sharma case.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has cancelled the anticipatory bail of Giribala Singh, and the CBI has now arrested her in the alleged dowry death case.
This case has shaken people across the country because it goes beyond one family. It raises questions about emotional abuse, family pressure, silence inside marriages, and how often women are told to “adjust” until it’s too late.
The investigation is still ongoing. But today marks a major turn in the case.
Do you think this will lead to stronger accountability in dowry death and abuse cases?
