This bridge is known to be the tallest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan. It is also a place where you can see one of the top 100 waterfalls of Japan✨

If dragons fascinate you then you’d be excited to learn that the story behind this waterfall starts with a dragon that needed to replenish his strength. He wanted a young girl as an offering but apparently she had a clever boyfriend who decided he would rather make a hundred mochi balls (rice ball) than loose his love. In the end the dragon accepted the mochi, however after he had already destroyed half the city and the river 🤷‍♀️

Day 1 in Fukuoka ⛅️

This temple was dedicated for educational achievements, to pass examinations and do well on a test. There is a few metal ox scattered around the temple. Apparently, if you rub any part of the bull knowledge will flood you like a tidal wave. Unfortunately, I only read about this once we left the temple so knowledge wasn’t in the books for me on this trip 🤷‍♀️
