Hello, I'm Marta Żary, creator of Tempest Doll - original handmade art dolls and ball jointed dolls. I'm an independent artist of varied fields and techniques, so dolls turned out to be the perfect canvas for me. Each one I present on my channel is made entirely by me.

Tiny shoes in the making. This time they will be big wedges. I think this is the first time I'm actually using this model, though I made the mold for it a long time ago. But everything has its designated time, I guess ;)
Doll's accessories will be in bright pink, to create a strong contrasting accent. In the picture You see me attaching my logo with tweezers.

I decided to add eyelashes, after all. They are thick and dramatic, which will suit this doll's character.

Tiny eyes in the making.
In the first picture You can see the moment of applying resin with a toothpick. Next pictures show the end result.
I wanted these eyes to be very light in color, to help create a bit uncanny look for the doll; a piercing, intense stare.

I'm painting gloves on an extra pair of my doll's hands.
It will be a sheer, black fabric with dots. There will also be a big cuff on top.

Doll's face is now completely painted, with sparkles applied as a final touch. No doll can go without it, not on my watch.
The last step is adding eyelashes. But there's a catch - eyelashes tend to soften doll's gaze a bit; and here I want to create an intense stare, not softness. So eyelashes - and their shape - are still up for debate. We will see.

Another layer of varnish.
Among the table chaos, a hero made of steel stands firmly (more or less) - it's my helper Garry, who carefully holds doll's hands and feet as they dry.

Creating legs for my doll.
Their upper part is made of stuffed fabric. There's also wood armature inside to keep them sturdy where they need to be, and wire where they need to bend.

Doll's body with air bubble spots and painted cracks.
What most consider imperfections, I treat as an accidental pattern that I incorporate into design. I see it as a part of the doll's creation story. I am not the sole creator - the universe has left its 2 cents in it too. It is a testimony of each unique casting circumstances. Of how I felt, what was the weather, what were my decisions at this particular moments. It is the truth, a unique moment frozen in time. A moment, that will never be duplicated. So why to remove it?
