Spend Mother’s Day surrounded by spring beauty! The brand-new Mother’s Day Marketplace features local, sustainable vendors with handcrafted goods, plants, and eco-conscious gifts. Heads up — I didn’t see a lot of plant vendors on the list, but Crystal Star Nursery will be there! 🪴

🌵 May 17 — Friends of Allan Gardens Spring Plant Sale (Toronto)
📍 Allan Gardens Palm House & Children’s Conservatory — 160 Gerrard St E

Multi-vendor event featuring Crystal Star Nursery, Native Plants in Claremont, Plantzzahut (carnivorous plants 🪴), and Friends of Allan Gardens. ⏰ Come early — desirable plants go fast! Bring your own bags. Proceeds support free community programming.

Hello Plant Friends,

Just a quick reminder that the Toronto Artistic Orchid Association Show and Sale is happening this weekend(April 18 & 19). I mentioned it before, but I wanted to circle back in case it was on your list of events to attend this year.

There will be some amazing vendors and growers, including Ecuagenera, Roehampton Orchids, Crystal Star Orchids, and more, so you can expect everything from rare orchids to beginner friendly picks.

Spring is slowly waking everything up, and I could not be more excited.

A few of my plants are already in bloom, bringing little bursts of color and joy indoors. It is such a nice reminder that warmer days are on the way.

I am really looking forward to moving them outside, letting them soak up the sunshine and fresh air. Just a little longer to go… we are getting there.

Plant friends, it is time! Thang’s pre order is now open. If you want to see what is available, head over to his Facebook page for all the details. This pre order is for Canadian 🇨🇦 plant friends only.

I just had a quick look and, honestly, I am in trouble. There are so many gems in this round. I am going to sit down with my morning coffee and slowly go through the albums because quite a few plants immediately caught my eye.

The way I see it, some of these are plants that have been on my wish list for a long time, and I have no idea when the opportunity to purchase them will come around again. So I may be turning a blind eye to the prices and finally picking up a few of those wish list plants.

Now you can see why I say I am in big trouble.

Just a reminder that this is a pre order, so it will take some time before the plants arrive in Canada. Patience is part of the process. Thang runs everything on his own, so please only participate if you are serious about purchasing and are prepared to wait for the plants to arrive.
