We recently had to say goodbye to our wonderful cat Suri. He had lymphoma, and unfortunately chemo did not work. He was a huge part of our lives for the last thirteen years.
Suri would wake me up every morning by sitting next to my head, yelling at me and tapping me on the face for food. His favorite toy was the cardboard tube from a paper towel roll... we always kept extra for him. He would flop over on his back and I'd drag him around on the floor, and he'd purr. He knew that doorknobs opened doors, and he'd jump up and grab on to them, but couldn't quite figure out how to turn it. He was an expert lap-sitter and would stare at you until you moved your legs just right, then he'd climb in and fall asleep.
It's amazing the connection you can form with an cat.
Here's a picture of him from when we first got him, in our very first apartment together.

We lost our wonderful cat Suri a few weeks ago to lymphoma. For 13 years, he was the chillest and most loving Bengal cat you've ever met.
