Shabbat didn’t begin as a trend or a response to burnout.

It began at Creation.

Before Israel.
Before Sinai.
Before churches, calendars, or modern life.
God set apart the seventh day, blessed it, and called it holy.

Shabbat was woven into the rhythm of the world from the very beginning.
In Scripture, Shabbat means to cease. To stop working. To rest in what God has already done. It is not just about attending a service or slowing down mentally. It is a physical, intentional pause that points back to Creation and God’s authority as Creator.

Yeshua honored Shabbat. He never canceled it. He corrected the added rules that made it heavy and reminded people that Shabbat was made for humanity as a gift, not a burden.

With recent books like “Stop, in the Name of God” by Charlie Kirk and conversations bringing Shabbat back into the spotlight, many people are asking questions they were never taught to ask.

What is Shabbat really? When does it begin? Who is it for? How do we observe it according to Scripture?

Shabbat has always mattered.
It has always been part of God’s design.

If this renewed interest has stirred something in you, Torah Class offers lessons that explore Shabbat carefully, verse by verse, helping believers dig deeper into what the Bible actually says.
