Ahh the lies we tell ourselves. It’s funny isn’t it? How easy it can be to blame the world and everything around you when your life isn’t where you want it be?
But if we keep telling ourselves the same stories, then what we’ll get is the exact same outcomes. It reminds me of this quote I once heard: “every system is perfectly designed to get the outcome it gets.” In other words, if you don’t like what you’re seeing or experiencing, then change the system.
But that takes personal accountability. It takes admitting where we were wrong and admitting how we’ve been the creators of our own misery.
