This morning I was scrolling through YouTube Shorts when suddenly the live performance of The Angel by came onā¦ and it all came crashing down.
Iāve been an Arsenal supporter since Dennis Bergkamp signed for the club in 1995. I was 27 when we won our last league title. Since then, life has had its ups and downs, but Arsenal has always been there in the background. Every season bringing its hopes, joys, pain, frustration and disappointment.
When I started the Fan Reactions FC channel, I did it because I wanted to build something around the passion Iāve always had for Arsenal, football and the Premier League. But I never expected the people behind it all to become such an important part of my life.
Over time, through live chats, clips, reactions and even the occasional WhatsApp exchange, Iāve built a strange kind of connection with so many creators and fans. Not just Arsenal fans either ā creators from clubs all across the Premier League whose content I clip every week. But naturally, thereās an even stronger bond with the Arsenal crowd.
And yesterdayā¦ seeing āŖ@CurtisShawTVā¬, āŖ@TroopzTVā¬ , āŖ@SelioTVā¬ āŖ@TurkishLDNā¬ āŖ@deludedgoonerā¬ the guys from AFTV and all the others sharing the exact same joy I was feeling was something special.
Even though I was alone in my flat, on a Tuesday evening, after a long day of work, in another countryā¦ I was there with all of them, watching that clock slowly count down to the moment we had waited 22 years for.
The football fan creator community means a lot to me. More than I sometimes wish it did, if Iām honest.
And I want to thank every single one of you who helped make Fan Reactions FC what it is today.
I also want to give a special shoutout to a man who has helped me with the channel for the last two seasons and who experienced the absolute opposite emotions to mine last night. Because believe it or not, this channel is the result of a collaboration between an Arsenal fan and a Spurs fan.
And despite the fact he was still calling us pricks last night :) I genuinely hope on Sunday that Spurs save their lousy asses ā for the sake of his sanity, but also for the sake of the Premier League itself.
Because what would an Arsenal season be without the North London Derby?
Sometimes you need to love your arch-rivals too.
And Iām sure probably Robbie feels the same way about Expresssions.
Now letās go and win the Champions League.
