BSG: Blue Sphere Gamer

So I didn't think I would do this as of yet but I decided to spend tonight downloading Roblox and trying out ‪@AkikoDev‬ 's CSS Blue Sphere event. Obviously tonight is literally the last night of the event but I started at around half 8 this evening and got to stage 17 before I got way too tired with having to use the keyboard to carry on (I'm used to using my mega drive mini controller, never use keyboard). Haven't recorded anything either, but I want to say the following:

This is AWESOME! I absolutely love this game. I love what's been done with sphere modifications, some of these things are so cool! For me as a level designer and player what Akiko has done is like a dream. I love the levels (except for stage 14 lol) and the modifications and I will be playing more Roblox blue sphere! It's totally awesome.

Well done to everyone who got through all the levels over the last couple of weeks, I just wish I could have started days ago! I'd have a full walkthrough and review by now.

I only just heard about ‪@AkikoDev‬Akiko's CSS Blue Sphere event thanks to some commenters making me aware. Unfortunately for me I am not in a position to play it right now but congrats to Akiko for putting it together, it looks totally awesome, and I wish all the players the best of luck with their remaining week to complete the levels and earn their skins 💥💪🏼🔵👍🏼
I am glad that this is happening for the great game of blue sphere, and maybe some of the victors might like to take on a kaizo level or two after their triumph over the event 😉
And I also want to give a big shout-out to ‪@Namesoom‬ for finally achieving a 100% deathless speed run of Abe's Exoddus last night. I watched it live, it was so cool, especially for the last run of the night. Great Oddworld player, so if you're into that go and check him out.

It's a few years old now but I just played through Sonic Scorched Quest for the first time and it was one of the nicest experiences I have had playing a game for the first time.
100% fun due to being pretty much totally fair, no wonder it was plied with accolades 🏆

Today's video and another in a couple of days (a nice little challenge for anyone who wants to try it) will be the last new video for a little while because my central heating isn't keeping me warm enough in the cold so my left thumb hurts when using the d-pad, aside from some other things that are going on. That's no good!

It was done with rewind but to design this and spend about 16 hours putting the video together, with the master stroke of playing as Amy and using that music, it's one of the greatest blue sphere videos ever.

I have wanted to beat it for years but I haven't been able to get in the zone and focus on it as of yet. It's a totally mean-spirited level, completely unforgiving. The hardest level I have ever beaten was Kaizo 3's 16 spirals and it took 20 hours. The thought of doing something that hard again makes me laugh 😂 but not because it's funny.

Hello there, this is a notice.

Due to a burgeoning interest in speedrunning I will soon set up a Speedrun channel and move what speedrunning videos I have uploaded here, to it.

For nearly five years this channel has existed as a haven for my blue sphere endeavours and I have played through so many of your wonderful ROM hack levels, the awesome originals, and of course my own crackpot Kaizos (that might only ever be showcased here) as consummately as I could out of love for the game. As well as my half-pipes.

Thus I find myself irked by the juxtaposition of different content.

I will be speedrunning ROM hacks of Sonics 1, 2, and 3/k/3&k, and I might also finally crack a decent Speedrun of the almighty Cool Spot, a childhood favourite of mine, so when the channel is up I'll post a link so that any of you who want to support me over there can do so easily. Short and sweet: running what I want, when I want (except Kaizo Sonic the Hedgehog, which I do want to run but I can't see that happening in this life).

And no, I won't be stopping the blue sphere content, that would be a waste. One doesn't go into blue sphere for the clout, it's for the glory 💥💪🏼🔵🤌🏼

My JK.Fox Edition blue spheres video was just taken down by YouTube, possibly because I commented a link to an unlisted blue sphere video to a viewer (not an external site but YouTube) so they could see a blue sphere level we were talking about, but to try and prevent any more losses I am no longer going to include links to media fire downloads of ROM hacks and level packs in descriptions.
I definitely won't be commenting links to my own videos under my own videos in my comment sections on my own channel ever again.
I have reinstated the old JK FOX Edition video, it's just in 480p instead of 1080p.
You will need to find the downloads elsewhere. It's usually easy but if they're my level packs you will be able to find them on sonic retro once I have posted them to my thread.
