A teen case treated by me with Invisalign + Class 2 elastics + Dental Monitoring to prevent upper left canine impaction, correct upper posterior crossbite, deep bite and occlusion! Upper arch unilateral distalisation was performed here to open space for upper left canine eruption, correct midline and class 2.

Evidence suggests that upper molar Distalisation upto 3mm is a highly predictable movement with clear aligners in adults (Ravera 2016, Saif 2021). Upper molar distalisation with clear aligners was observed in several studies without significant mesiodistal tipping movement or vertical side effects, and it seems that this result could be improved if combined with photobiomodulation or other acceleration tooth movement systems.

Deep bite correction involved a combination of lower posterior extrusion (growth related), incisor proclination and relative intrusion (holding) of lower anteriors.

Crossbite correction involved dental arch expansion of upper arches and elimination of any functional shifts.

Total treatment time was 18 months.
