😣My first rodeo as an admissions leader was challenging.

It wasn't because I didn't understand the role.



😔I was tryng to copy a leadership style that wasn't in sync with who I was as an individual.

😉Do not feel disappointed and never settle.

✔️Some of you may feel you were blocked from an opportunity.
✔️Some may feel like you were left hanging on a project.
✔️Some may feel rejected.
✔️Some of you may feel like after all of your hard work, you didn't get the promotion, the contract or the acknowledgement.Change your prospective.You didn't fail.

👉🏽God blocked it!He knows what we don't know and can see what we can't see.

So the next time you feel left out in the cold......just look up, smile and say:

🗣️We've always done it this way...👉🏾We only hire tenured advisors because they should exceed expectations with their eyes closed.👉🏾High performers are given twice the expectations than everyone else. We don't invest in training underperformers here. They're cheap labor.👉🏾Yes, some of our high rollers are toxic but they bring in high numbers so what's your point?👉🏾We don't need our advisors asking questions outside of the script. It's too personal and it's not on the sheet.💡Fast forward...online inquiries are dropping off, enrollments are down, retention is shot, grad. rates are plummeting, but we will continue to do it this way anyway...

❓Why is it so important to ask a potential student "How does/did that make you feel?"

💖If they could picture themselves finally breaking out of a situation and living the life they've always envisioned...

...it would create the urgency to follow through in starting classes and graduating.

😔On the contrary, asking them how their current situation or past situation has made them feel will remind them that they never want to feel like that again.

This also creates urgency to break out of their situation and allow your advisors to help them turn the page.
