A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of sitting as a panelist at the Young Adults’ Church @faithchurchakoka conversation on Handling Manipulation and Gaslighting in Close Relationships.

It was one of those meaningful conversations that go beyond speaking; it was honest, necessary, and deeply empowering. We unpacked how emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and healthy boundaries can help people see themselves clearly and navigate relationships with confidence and emotional safety.

Earlier today at Jobbermanyouth.ng.

When I left the banking industry in 2020, after working for close to seven years, the only things I could fall back on were the digital skills I had learnt while on the job. I had done a lot of trainings with some of my friends who were fully milking the good of the digital economy and even though I was scared, I did it afraid and never regretted. Covid happened and organizations began laying off staff members; there was panic and people began to learn digital skills. No one wanted to be left behind.

Guess what I did. I packaged all I had learnt and began to train people who were interested. Simple things as smartphone graphics, photo editing, video editting… name it! I knew them so well and taught them others. My whatsapp groups were always filled. I could tell you for a fact that the money I made that period set me off to a great start. I bought my first laptop and went fully into digital operations. That decision is still one of the best I have made in my career.

Today, @jobbermanyouth.ng invited me to come teach on “Creating and Selling Value Digitally” and I shared what has worked for me, some mistakes I made and how to avoid them and many more. I didn’t hold back, I promise.

Someone please tell this woman it’s okay to dream. Remember the girl who had to start all over from 100 level at age 28?

Yeah… that girl who refused to let her background keep her on the ground…

…The one who resigned from her banking job after six years in pursuit of a life that truly aligned with her dreams…

….The one who left everything familiar behind and moved to a “strange” land; one filled with stories of pain and regret?

…The one who has learned, again and again, how to be brave…
To stay resilient…
To build mental stamina in the face of challenges that looked like they would break her?

Oh, you remember her?

Well, guess what! she recently graduated with a degree in Psychology from Bahçeşehir Cyprus University and now a part of the BAU Global.

Someone wake her up and remind her this is no longer just a dream, but now a reality.

Someone tell her that every single dream she dared to believe is valid. And God is proving that to her, over and over again.

Tell her the sky is not her limit because even that is too small.

Tell her: This is the least she will ever be.

Yes, that same girl finished with a 3.60 CGPA, walked that stage, and is now a Psychologist.

Can you believe it?

Ladies and gentlemen!!! HER. The girl who dared to dream. The woman who didn’t mind starting over. The one who is determined to finish strong.

That’s her, right there. That’s her!
