Professional drawing starts with structure.
The Drawing Drills Course trains the exact skills artists need to control form:
• Stop guessing and start constructing drawings
• Make your drawings feel solid and dimensional
• Build confidence in every line you draw
• Fix the mistakes that make drawings look flat
• Turn practice into measurable skill growth
• Develop the control professional artists use

Thousands of you keep asking the same question:
“What pen are you using?”
“What sketchbook is that?”
“What paper do you draw on?”
So I finally made a full video breaking down all the drawing supplies I use in my videos and tutorials.
I go through the sketchbooks, paper, pens, pencils, and tools I use and explain why I like them and when I use each one.
If you’ve been curious about the materials you see in my drawings, this will answer everything.
Also curious…
What drawing tool do you use the most? ✏️

Most artists start figure drawings in the wrong place.
They start with details and shading.
But if the gesture and structure are off, no amount of rendering will fix the drawing.
A figure drawing should usually start like this:
1. Gesture
Capture the movement, balance, and flow of the pose.
2. Structure
Build the body with simple forms and proportions.
3. Detail & Rendering
Only after the foundation is correct.
The first image shows the gesture and structural map.
The second image shows the finished drawing built on top of it.
Same pose. Different stage of the process.
This gesture → structure → detail workflow is something I teach more deeply in my Figure Drawing Course.
I’m currently offering it at 50% off for anyone who wants to dive deeper.

New drawing from today.
Sketching quickly improves as your hands learn to keep up with your ideas.
What is a sketch?
It’s a rough draft.
A quick imprint of an idea or subject with minimal planning and zero expectation of perfection.
No pressure to impress.
No pressure to finish.
Just draw and let it unfold.
The more you train your hands, the more control you have when making quick decisions in mark making.
This sketch took 15 minutes.
I challenge you to sketch in ink.
It will make you a better artist.
❤️
