One of the biggest threats to what I do is the potential of being robbed of my joy.
I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to be firing on all cylinders, getting things done, seeing amazing results, but have no joy. It sneaks up on you.
Despite how important performance is, how much it moves the needle, how it creates other opportunities, and how it yields tangible evidence that you’re doing “great”, performance alone is not fulfilling. It comes and goes. It will taper in some seasons. It will be harder to manage or maintain in other seasons.
But the joy of the Lord is lasting!!! The presence of family is comforting. Having gratitude during the process creates contentment that doesn’t breed complacency.
All that to say, the results of this video have been amazing!!! And it has surely been “successful”. But it was already a success the day we shot it. When I got to do something I love surrounded by the people I love. That is priceless. That is a privilege. And it is my honor.
