For week 26, a very simple mission...watch a Warner Brothers movie. This challenge is also meant to have us watching and enjoying movies we have in our collections. Since I own the WB 100th 25 Film Collection Vol 1 Award Winners, why not dig into some old classics. So Grand Hotel from 1932 won the lottery. So good!! An early ensemble cast type movie that really does treat it like an ensemble by bouncing around multiple stories with some surprising twists. I had such a good time with this that I followed it up with two more from the golden era, The Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn in glorious Technicolor and Mrs. Miniver with Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon, also both excellent movies. See, this is what this challenge does best. It gets you out of your comfort zone and helps you discover movies you may never have watched.

Have you seen any of those movie? If so, which ones?

Week 25 was a fun week! On this week, I always like to celebrate a movie's 25th anniversary which gives me an entire year's worth of movies to pick from. So from the year 2001, I revisited Rush Hour 2 with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker! Totally hold up. Still super funny, great action sequences....a really good time!

Have you seen Rush Hour 2 lately? If so what did you think?

For week 24, it's time to check out a Steven Spielberg movie. This was naturally timed to go see Disclosure Day in the theater. Not bad, not great, a fairly middle of the road Spielberg movie for me. Perhaps it will improve on future viewings.

For week 23, it was time to watch a movie based on a toy or non-video game. As a movie goer, I chose to go check out the new Masters of the Universe in theaters and I loved it! A thrilling sci-fi/action/fantasy that was a lot of fun, regardless if you knew anything about the old 80s cartoon or toy. I am hoping Amazon continues with this franchise even though it may have fallen short at the box office.

Did you go see this film? If so, what did you think?

While I have been logging all my 52 Week Movie Challenge selections on Letterboxd, I am a little behind sharing them here, so let's go. For week 22, the mission was to watch a movie with a 15% or less rating on Rotten Tomatoes, so I chose Hot Pursuit with Reese Witherspoon and Sophia Vergara. It received an 8% rating. It had some funny moments and was not nearly as horrible as my first pick, Van Damme's Death Warrant. Ug, that was painful to watch. At least I laughed many times during this film.

For this week's 52 Week Movie Challenge, we are to select a movie with a color in the title and I chose The Grey, a nail-biter of a survival movie starring Liam Neeson. This movie was intense! Please check out my quick review.
