Martial arts legend Chuck Norris has passed away. Growing up, I was a huge martial arts fan. Chuck and Bruce Lee were the GOATS. My passion for watching these incredibly well choreographed fight scenes led me to Jackie Chan later on but it all started with Chuck Norris for me. His legacy and lasting impression in the industry is still felt today. So in the immortal words of Chuck himself, "I don't age. I level up!" Yes you have, sir.
RIP Chuck Norris

The challenge continues with week #10, A Movie With A Fake Band or Musician. I chose to rewatch a movie I feel gets better with ever watch and that is Streets of Fire directed by Walter Hill. Diane Lane does an absolute phenomenal lip job on film. Even though someone else did her singing, you would never know it, she's that good. And the final song "Tonight is what it means to be young" is a real show stopper! (Review coming soon).
If you've seen this movie, what did you think? And let me know what you watched for your fake band movie.

It's time to catch up on the last two weeks of the 52 Week Movie Challenge 2026. For week 9, the task was to watch an All-Numeric Movie. While some chose to pick movie with numbers in them, like 48 Hours or 47 Meters Down, I went pure numbers with "5-25-77". I grabbed this movie during an MVD flash sale and may I just say, I was very charmed by this one. If you've ever had big dreams AND love Star Wars, this is you're kind of movie. (Review coming shortly).
If you've seen this movie, what did you think? And let me know what you watched for your all-numeric movie.

In preparation for Scream 7, this week's challenge is to watch a Courteney Cox movie. I have been binge watching all the Scream movies in preparation for Scream 7 this Friday, so since it's hard to pick one of those, I'm just going to go outside that Scream box with Ace Ventura Pet Detective. This is a hilarious movie that Jim Carrey takes command of but Courteney is absolutely radiant in this film. They share terrific chemistry together.

For last week's 52 Week Movie Challenge, you were asked to pick a comfort movie. This could mean anything to anyone, comedy, horror, sci-fi, horror...whatever that is to you, make your pick. I chose CLUE for my comfort movie. It has an all-star cast with terrific performances. It's a light, breezy comedy based on the classic board games released back in 1985. Tim Curry and Madeline Kahn are exceptional. Love this movie!!
