Sorry to hear of the passing of two giants of musical innovation, Sly Stone and Brian Wilson. Without Pet Sounds, my first single would never have sounded the same. Mike Hurst, my producer, was infatuated with that album, and tried his best to replicate the innovative use of classical instruments to complement the sonics.
