My name is Wanita Kay and I am an aspiring author of cozy mysteries. Welcome to my authortube channel where I am documenting my journey to self-publishing. My journey in writing started in 2015. For several years I've learned the art of writing.
I am also participating in several online courses such as HB90, Publish and Thrive, and Video Ranking Academy.
1. HB90 is a course released by Sarra Cannon of Heart Breathings where I am learning about time management and planning so I can be more productive.
2. Publish and Thrive is a Sarra Cannon course for self-publishing.
3. Video Ranking Academy is a course by Sean Cannell of Think Media. I am learning how to grow my YouTube Channel into a sustainable business. I've had channels previously. Through all the starts and stops, achievements and mistakes, I've learned what works and what does not.
My life often takes twists and turns that change the course I am on, as my videos will show.

Publish & Thrive is coming back this August. Sarra's courses are definately recommended by me. I am an HB90 alumni as well. As I finish working on my first book, I need to think about building my author name and learn more about the business of being an author. I signed up for Publish & Thrive in 2022. I started a new chapter in my life. Now I need to be strategic. Stop thinking of writing as a hobby and start believing I can make a career with it. I love my story ideas and know that there is a community of readers out there who would love to read it.

I have been suspiciously absent from my channel. Family get togethers and obligations keep getting in my way. I will be working on the next video in my cozy mystery themes series this week. Also, my live streams are going to change from Saturdays to Friday evening for the same reason. Must must take a deep breath and get to it.

I've been working on a new video using a teleprompter. I need to learn the trick of not sounding like I am reading my words. I'm not very convincing yet. I may have to use a bullet pointed list instead of full sentences. Anyone have any advice?
