Had an amazing lunch at La Plancha ATX to wrap up my last cookbook tour event of the year. Chef Mariha is originally from the Valley too and we had La Chilaquiles and Le Tejana Tortas, a carnitas taco and some of the best fries I ever had too. Oh and there was also churros for dessert. Thank you again Chef for the great meal to wrap up what has been a non stop year of cookbook tour, videos and this that and the other. Y’all go by in Austin and try it all out, BOOM!

The first time I went to Leroy and Lewis BBQ they were in a food truck, now they have a Michelin Star rating and have one of best barbecue eating experiences I’ve ever had. We ordered the pitmaster platter which lets you sample all the good stuff and comes with some delicious and amazing sides too. Not pictured, the burger we ate before the picture lol. Thank you chef and congrats Evan Leroy on all you and your team have made happen, and thank you to Joe Yim ‪@knoxavebbq‬ , pitmaster and fellow YouTuber too who is part of the champion team here. Next time I’m going for the steak night vamonos!

Machitos de cabrito hot off the ProPit grill. This Mexican delicacy is an old favorite food to cook with my earliest memories of it are cooking alongside my cousin Juan Segovia while we were in Pecos as kids. On the ranch we grew up not wasting any part of the animal and machitos are part of that tradition, these are goat and lamb heart, liver, offal fat and tripas. Full video is now up here to check out 🔥

Cold front blew through and I had to get my a sippity sip to warm up, went by Mercado Sin Nombre and it was so so good. Atole cortado and a chile colorado burrito were perfect especially on chilly day, congrats to Mercado too on their Michelin award that’s so cool to see. Oh and remember “twinkies”? These were two “masa twinkies” that were so good too. Yall check em out in town and I’ll def be back for more coffee and burritos, BOOM!

Been wanting to buy an Old Smokey Grill for a few years. Used to see comp cooks nabbing 1st place chicken calls all the time using these cool, light, and great cooking grills. So whats better than an Old Smokey Grill? Two Old Smokey grills haha. One for the house and one for my son Dan’s house in Austin. Already cooked up so dang good chicken halves and pork ribs. These cookers rock. I also love to support local so I bought these from Marco and Eddie at Aguilar’s Meat Market, thank you guys un chingos. BOOM!
