With its groundbreaking computer animation, heartwarming messages, and appeal to everyone, Toy Story undoubtedly left a legacy as one of the most influential and greatest animated masterpieces ever and remains an important milestone in the history of animation.

Figured I'd make this community post to let you guys know about the truth.

So as many of you know, today is the 25th anniversary of one of Nick Jr's most successful shows, "Dora the Explorer". And if you've been around this channel long enough, you know that I have shown in my videos that I have a deep hatred for this show. However, in light of what I have been collecting and archiving recently, some people have questioned why I have bought some Dora-related stuff, whether it be official media or TV recordings of the show. Well, in this post, I figured I'd let you guys know the truth, and answer the million-dollar question on some people's minds:

Do you still hate Dora?

And the answer is yes, but not as much as I used to.

A big contributing factor to my hatred of this show was the fact I enjoyed watching it in middle school, and uploaded several videos related to the show on an old channel I had. It didn't take long until people in the school found out what I had been uploading, and to say I was bullied because of it would be a big understatement. I already was not a sane person in middle school but to add stuff like this into the mix made things a lot worse for me, and every now and then I would look back on my middle school self and beat myself up over stuff I did, such as liking Dora the Explorer at an age when it wasn't really normal for someone to. This ultimately led to my infamous hatred and "middle finger freakout" towards the show every time I would see it on my VHS tapes.

That being said, as I have largely matured and thought more rationally since those days, I highly respect the impact the show has had over the course of its run and how influential and educational it is towards kids, and archiving several episodes of the show has helped reintroduce that idea to me. Whether it be the interactive style, its musical numbers, or possibly even its inclusion of learning the Spanish language, there's no doubt Dora has cemented itself as a groundbreaking educational show. However, there are still aspects that make me think negatively of the show. Probably the biggest example is the fact that the show has been annoying to listen to and sit through, whether its Map's voice or the "Vamonos" song, there are moments where I feel my soul and all the joy in my body being sucked away.

tldr, I don't hate Dora as much as I used to, I would just overexaggerate my hatred cuz I was heavily bullied in middle school for liking the show.
