I grew up in a household where money was never discussed, except as a stressor. As such, I never learned its real value, the virtue of saving, or how to stretch a dollar. We always had consumer debt, and that was just the way it was. It wasn't until I was in my mid-30s, when I realized that if I did not get my butt in gear I would be working for the rest of my life, that I decided to make a change. I got out of debt and started saving and investing. Now I am keeping myself accountable by sharing my triumphs and my mistakes with the world.

Happy Saturday, everyone! FinCon 2025 is in the books. I am going to be flying home this afternoon, and will try to have my weekly budget update video up tomorrow morning (Sunday). I am a little hoarse after talking nonstop for the last few days, so please don't expect too much, ha ha.
