Orwell discourse is always exhausting because I don't disagree that Orwell's politics aren't great but 90% of what the people making that point seem to take issue with him for aren't the actual problems with him and it annoys me to no end
My next video will be a history of one of Stalin's most shocking betrayals of proletarian internationalism and it should be out in a few days; the script is finished and I just need to get myself to record the audio. After that's up, what might you all want to see? I'm trying to get back to YouTube "for real" now that I've found my confidence again :D
Despite the immense size of the crowds they've drawn, the No Kings protests have yet to yield a similarly sized impact; this video explores why, underlining the ways in which No Kings replicates at the level of activism the strategies that have failed Democrats electorally. The only way forward for anti-fascism is to go beyond activism and electoralism both, to engage the enemy on the terrain of class struggle.

After 5 years of absence, I have finally returned! My new video addresses what I take to be the "core" teaching of Marxism, that notion without which nothing can be regarded as properly Marxist: working class revolutionary subjectivity. Much of what passes for Marxism is, in my view, nothing of the sort, precisely because it diverges from Marx on precisely the point most central to his enterprise.
