In 2020, we quit our jobs to travel the world, and... well, that didn't happen. So in 2022, we decided to make an even BIGGER change: to pack up our lives (and our cats 🐈) and move from Austin, Texas, in the United States, to the Netherlands.

this is our fourth winter here in the netherlands and it's the first time we've seen this kind of snow... we're loving it!

the new years dive (aka nieuwjaarsduik) is somewhat of a dutch tradition, where thousands of people run into the cold sea to celebrate the start of a new year.
(by the way, in 2024 we did the dive _without the suits_, but we still wore the muts. that video is on our channel too, haha.)
we have a lot of awesome stuff planned for 2026...

the owner of the guesthouse in drenthe knows us so well :)
she picked up a bag of the new eierbal chips for us... and wow, they were TASTY.
we got to try a few drenthe specialties too!

☀️ a surprise sunday video! ☀️
we went back to deventer, one of our favorite cities in the netherlands. we stayed at a beautiful hotel across the ijssel river, explored the sights, and had an uh... encounter? with a curious-looking fountain.
some people say that deventer is the most beautiful city in the netherlands... what do y'all think? :)
