Hello, aviation lovers! I'm happy to announce that the MPC Flights channel is back. It was mistakenly suspended a few weeks ago (the exact reason is not clear yet), but thanks to my partner manager and YouTube support, the channel has been restored. I'll be keeping the usual upload schedule of a new video every 4 to 5 days. It's great to be back!
Hello friends. Today, we woke up to some really sad news: A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner operated by Air India, Flight 171, from Ahmedabad, India, to London, carrying 242 people on board (230 passengers and 12 crew members), crashed into a building (apparently a hostel) shortly after taking off from Runway 23.
So far, it is known that only one person survived, and the number of fatalities on the ground inside the building is still unknown, but it is believed to be high, as the aircraft reportedly struck the dining area during lunchtime.
In video footage, at least the slats appear to be extended, while the flaps are not clearly visible. The aircraft also seems to have rotated late, almost at the end of the runway. In another video, what sounds like the emergency RAT turbine can be heard deployed, although it’s unclear whether it is visibly extended. The pilots declared a mayday.
As for weather conditions, it appeared stable with good visibility. I will soon upload a reconstruction video based on the available information so far. Rest in peace to all the victims.
Hello aviators! I just wanted to wish you a happy new year 2025 and tell you that many more flights are to come this year. Let me know in the comments what cases you'd like to see in future videos. Best!
