I think “Conception” could’ve been better than what came out of it. I’m referring specifically to the anime, which was not only hugely s*xualized, but also made light of very serious topics and very little character development and personality.
One, in Episode 6, Femiruna literally became a Stockholm Syndrome victim after being kept in Collette’s storage room, nearly starving to death. That’s crazy, messed up, even. Itsuki tells her take care of herself, but how could she do that after getting amnesia and being kept in a storage room, thinking she’s been kidnapped and afraid for her life? In my opinion, she was justified in thinking not to eat in fear of being poisoned.
Two, in Episode 3, Reone was s*xualized by showing many angles of her buttocks, but not as much as Collette in Episode 7, where she was s*xualized WAY MORE, in ways I prefer not to describe.
Three, in the games, the character personalities were more fleshed out and not as s*xualized and bland as their anime counterparts. Heck, even Mana was way more innocent! Why did the writers choose to s*xualize the show so much? It would’ve blown up and got much more attention if it wasn’t.
