For Sahara Group's 2026 Variety Night, I somehow found myself playing a “lead role” in SGL’s entry, one of the activities organised as part of the celebrations of Sahara at 30.
Now, the funny part was that I was initially supposed to be one of the background actors. So this was very much a spur-of-the-moment thing.
But yes, after a couple of retakes and many lines, we got the job done. Of course, I also had to learn a quick dance choreography.
Our entry tied for 2nd place among 18 global teams within the Saharaverse! I'm super grateful for this opportunity and proud of what we were able to achieve.
Is it too early to state that I'm open to casting calls?
You can view our entry here and see Abiola in action:
I had the privilege of working on a visual arts assignment with my sister. As far as I can remember, I’ve always worked on this with my siblings and we’ve done a beaded butterfly and a matchstick house. This time around, we created a fish. Swipe to see the progression.
Documented this here for future reference as I can’t find my own past creatives. You’re welcome, Kemi.

Acted in a short film before?
Yes, I have. Sort of. 😂
