Capturing the Unexpected: ODKF in Perfect Light and Bokeh!

Although, I hadn’t planned to photograph this bird again, but I decided to follow my guide Praveen's advice, as the morning light was ideal.

I wasn’t ready when the vibrant Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher (ODKF) arrived, just as I was setting up my tripod.

Suddenly, the perfect bokeh appeared for just a few fleeting seconds, reflected off leaves in the opposite direction. Thanks to my habit of keeping my camera settings ready, I managed to capture this incredible moment. This image represents more than just a bird—it’s about life through Dream and Vision.

Each step in this long journey is a success, where hope, target, focus, hard work, and persistence transform dreams into reality.

These images were captured using Nikon Z9 and 600mm f/4 at f/8, 1/800 and ISO 400 during August, 2024.
