As a child I always dreamed of being a singer. As a teen, music was my great escape. I knew I had to be around music for my career. I went to work at a radio station and as chance would have it met my husband. It was 1989. He was in Deep Purple and challenged our radio station to a charity soccer match.
He took me on the road with him in 1993 and when he needed a singer, asked me to be his voice.
In our downtime, we wrote music that was a release from the stress of the world. A place of fantasy, of star filled skies, castles on hillsides.
We formed Blackmore's Night 27 years ago and released our 11th studio album, Nature's Light. Our 25th Anniversary edition of Shadow of the Moon and Fires At Midnight complete with remixes, remastered versions, deluxe editions and vinyl are out now.
My new cd Sea Glass is out now! Check channel for the official videos from that release: Unsung Hero, Promise Me, Last Goodbye and Angel & Jezebel.

Ritchie Blackmore will appear on Planet Rock for the first time ever this weekend to reflect on Rainbow's earth-shattering 'Rising' album on its 50th anniversary year.
The Deep Purple and Rainbow guitar titan features on The Longer Player with Mark Jeeves on Sunday 11th October from 5pm to 6pm.
Ritchie will answer questions about the recording of Rainbow's heavy metal masterpiece 'Rising', why it's so still special half a century on, what it was like working with the late-great Ronnie James Dio, his success as a founding member of Deep Purple, his enduring influence on guitarists, and much more.
Make sure you tune in to this exclusive show!
Back in January, 'Stargazer' from Rainbow's 'Rising' album was voted the third greatest rock song of all time by Planet Rock listeners
