Hey there, I’m Laura Eccleston, a crochet designer with over 16 years of experience and a lifelong love for making things with yarn. Here on my channel, I share new videos every Friday, mostly small, cute crochet projects that are perfect for using up your yarn scraps, plus the occasional cosy wearable like gloves, scarves, or bags. All my tutorials feature my own original designs, created to inspire and bring a bit of handmade joy to your week.
For me, crochet has always been about slowing down, finding peace, and creating beauty from the simplest materials. I hope my videos bring you the same kind of calm joy that making brings to me!
Tutorials are in US and UK terminology, (older tutorials are only in US terms).

If you've been following me for a long time you'll also know that I have a keen interest in science and the weird and wonderful things we can't often explain about perception and our minds and how reality all works. If this interests you too then you may enjoy my new SubStack called the Perception Diaries where I delve into lots of these subjects and share my own unusual experiences!

I've been receiving some flack lately with regards to my unboxing video I shared recently of CrochetSociety's advent calendar. I'd just like to clarify that I'm not selling this advent calendar lol I don't sell any advent calendars. I collaborated with the wonderful team at CrochetSociety to only share their calendar with you.
I've been called a liar too sadly, with people saying what I'm sharing isn't what you actually get, that's it's tiny and rubbish, the yarn is terrible etc... but unfortunately these are scam products people are receiving, and NOT the genuine product.
This isn't unique to CrochetSociety, I've seen this problem with many independent craft designers and companies, their designs stolen and resold on random websites like eBay, Temu and Amazon, usually by China, but of course these products are not the genuine thing, nor the fantastic quality they should be! It really breaks my heart, not just for the designers being ripped off, but the customers who end up getting scammed.
I can't reiterate it enough to check and double check who and where a company sells through, most often it's only their own website and this should always be your first port of call when spending money online.
Be safe out there my lovelies! Link to my video in the comments along with a link to CrochetSociety's video comparing products!

Starting Monday, 1st December, I’ll be releasing our very first festive crochet mini make, perfectly timed for opening Door No. 1 of the Crochet Society Advent Calendar! 🎄✨
There will be 8 mini makes in total, sprinkled throughout December… so expect around two cosy tutorials each week. I can’t wait for you to see them all, especially the final one!
Don’t have the advent calendar? No worries at all!
Every mini make is designed so you can use any yarn and hook you already have. I’ll be working with DK/light worsted weight and a 4mm hook, if you want to follow along exactly.
And just a little heads-up: this Friday, instead of our usual Yarn Scrap Friday tutorial, I’ll be hosting a cosy December catch-up, where I’ll share everything you can look forward to throughout the month. Can’t wait to chat with you! 🧶

Back in May, I was working on something behind the scenes that not many people knew about… until now! I teamed up with Crochet Society to design Box 54, a special springtime kit celebrating May Day.
It included my spiral, maypole-inspired Summer Picnic Cushion, my cheeky Scrumpy the Scarecrow, my festive Bloom and Grow Headband, and a bonus Windmill Blanket pattern from Crochet Society!
Read more of this little secret project, and how you can get your hands on one of these kits!
