Chhatarpur : Police are on the lookout for a 40-year-old man for allegedly raping his daughter for over four years in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district, an official said on Thursday.

"We have launched a hunt to arrest the accused who fled after his wife along with their 21-year-old daughter lodged a complaint with Lavkush Nagar police station this morning, Superintendent of Police Agam Jain told PTI.

Besides booking him for rape under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police have also pressed charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act since the man had been allegedly raping his daughter since she was below 18.

Doctors Successfully Perform Brain Surgery While Showing Patient NTR’s ‘Adhurs’ Movie

Doctors at the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Kakinada successfully removed a brain tumor from a female patient through “Awake Craniotomy” while showing her favorite movie, Adhurs, starring Jr. NTR. The surgery, performed without damaging critical nerves, is being hailed as the first of its kind at the hospital.

The 55-year-old patient, A. Anantalakshmi from A. Kothapalli, Tondangi Mandal, was suffering from symptoms including weakness in her right arm and leg. After visiting several private hospitals, where the treatment was deemed expensive and difficult, she was admitted to GGH on September 11, following headaches, fainting, and numbness on the right side of her body. Doctors discovered a 3.3 x 2.7 cm tumor on the left side of her brain.

On Tuesday, the medical team, under the supervision of senior doctors and anesthetists, performed the surgery while keeping Anantalakshmi awake under minimal sedation. To keep her comfortable and distracted, the doctors played her favorite comedy scenes from Adurs, featuring Jr. NTR and Brahmanandam. Engaged in the film, the patient remained blissfully unaware of the procedure.

The surgery lasted for about two and a half hours, and the patient was able to sit up and have breakfast afterward. She is expected to be discharged within five days.

“This type of surgery was performed for the first time at GGH,” said Dr. Lavanyakumari. “Patients are kept awake during the procedure so they can respond to questions and ensure no nerves are damaged,” explained Dr. A. Vishnuvardhan, head of the anesthesiology department, and Dr. Vijaysekhar, head of neurosurgery.

Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a 9-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted infront of her 5-year-old sister and offered Rs 20 to remain silent in Maharashtra.

The incident took place in Pardi area at around 4pm on Sunday.

The sisters were alone as their parents are both daily wagers and they had gone out of work at the time of the incident, as reported by TOI.

The incident came to light after the survivor narrated the entire ordeal to her parents after they returned back to work. On hearing, the parents immediately rushed to the Pardi police station and the cops sent her for medical examination.

After the report came, the examination confirmed that she was raped and had blood stains in her undergarments.

Later, after inquiry and based on the input of 5-year-old, the police believed that the accused is familiar with the family or must be aware that the girls stay back at home alone during the day as their parents would be out for work.

The police are investigating the matter and the search is on to nab the accused
