Die neue Single – ODE AN DIE MUSIK, will bald ausgelassen werden!
Ihr könnt aber schon jetzt hier, die ersten Klänge als auch Impressionen begutachten!

ODE AN DIE MUSIK - in einem komplett neuen Mix und mit einem, na ich würde mal sagen – Gothic – Märchenfilm - bebildert!

Wir arbeiten mit einer KI, nicht weil wir Fans sind, nein, wir wollen uns damit auseinandersetzen, um Kenntnis von einer Sache zu gewinnen, die mit Wucht auf uns zurollen wird!
Vor und auch Nachteile werden nur aus eigener Erkenntnis zu zukünftigen Entscheidungen führen!

ODE TO MUSIC - in a completely new mix and with a, well, I would say - Gothic - fairy tale film - illustrated!
We work with an AI, not because we are fans, no, we want to deal with it in order to gain knowledge of something that which will roll towards us with force!
Pros and cons will only lead to future decisions based on your own knowledge!
There's a HAPTIC RELEASE - with strictly limited sets that we'll be announcing soon!

Being booked as a HEADLINER - that's every bands dream! But not ours, really!!
It would be a lie if we said we weren't like that when we were still a small, unknown band, of course it was!
But after 30 years of EXPERIENCE, we've come to realize that being a headliner can oftentimes be "not good!!"
Here, exclusively for you, are some of our collective, complex insights, gathered from previousy experienced and observed "classic" headliner postion:
- Headliner always sound-checks first - lousy for people who like to sleep in
- Headliner always has to wait the longest for long anticipated gig - not great for the impatient
- Musicians who partake in alcohol and other narcotics - bad for their HEADLINER performance
- Guests have to wait just as long to see their favourite band perform - end up very tired and/or extremey hammered.
- Blackout drunk fans of the supporting act are often responsible for a very difficult and self-defeating gig of the headliner that follows.
- In case of bad weather, the headliner often plays in for a few single depressed fans and soaked plastic sheets.
- And so on !!!!
- And if this didn't do it for recklessly ambitious emerging bends - I've got another tip to scare you away completely !
Go and play after "Knorkator"! Stumpen often does a very engaging firework and his top tier woodchipper emerges smoke of anticipation! Sack after sack of potatoes goes straight into the shredder, among other ingredients, leaving behind products that seem eerily similar to human waste. The stage turns into a slippery battlefield and there's barely any time for set changes!
The classic banana peel on the ground pales in comparison! Tripping on stage while wearing platform shoes, the final death of an artist's mystifiaction.... I'll never forget it!

What day do you prefer to go partying?? Thought so!
That's why we're playing the STELLA-NOMINE-FESTIVAL 2023 - as CO-HEADLINER of course!!
That'll be clear to everyone now, right?
This is for everyone - us exluded - that's wanted to see UMBRA ET IMAGO back on stage again, finally! The aforementioned festival is the ONLY OPPORTUNITY IN 2023 to enjoy us LIVE!
So use this OPPORTUNITY and support us with your often before displayed gothic mood and ease our fright of the stage!! Personally, we'll leave the woodchipper at home and surprise you with a congenial show we've in the works already!
We've planned most of our year 2023 already as we're - and this will excite our avid and loyal fan base who've been asking for this for forever - working on a NEW VERY SPECIAL ALBUM, so we'll spend most of our time in the studio and not on stages!! We're planning to release it at the end of this year!
That's all I can say for now, because for now weve got our brand new single to be excited about ("GEFÜHLE ZERPLATZT - FEMALE VERSION 21), and then we'll go right back to working on the new album!

GEFÜHLE ZERPLATZT (burst feelings)…that sounds a little different than… oh darling, you’ve hurt my feelings … it hurts soooo bad!

That’s more that greasy, tasteless folky kid-friendly stuff!

Gefühle zerplatzt, that’s our BRANDNEW single that we’ve finally got in the works!

Now, some of you hardcore Umbra fanatics may thing … “Hey,that sounds familiar!”

That’s right, because it’s a NEW EDIT of our track from 1991!

NO, it’s no boring cover of ourselves ‘cause we’re drug-addicted, senile, old idiots!

IT’s a musical and in parts lyrical METAMORPHOSIS, evoked by insights into the deepest and more or less welcome experiences of our very being - which intermittently is present in all of us!

But the UNIQUE thing about this new edit is the musical curtsy as well as declaration of love to all WOMEN in this world! Besides, the highly estimated ‘Sisters’ of our band have been independent, creative, free, confident, sexy and EQUAL since day one! As it should be!!

For once this is NOT meant in an ironic way, more details regarding this to come in a letter to you soon enough!

The complete title of this release says it all:

„UMBRA ET IMAGO – Gefühle zerplatzt / FEMALE Version 2022“

Madeleine, Karo and Antje are the main characters,because they’re the ones interpreting and singing this song anew!! I’ve passed on the torch and that’s a good thing!!

You’ll notice me in the song, too, there’s no doubt about that! But in a rather unusual and unfamiliar way, some experts would call it a stunning acoustic performance, the most skillful temper tantrum in all of art history until now!

I myself like to call it “Dark Noises”, all hip and anglistic.

An audio experience stretching all of NINE minutes, served on a very danceable platter! That’d be my working title!

But now, onto the BEST!!!!

You get to have a say in it all!!

Democratic - Exemplary - we’ll work out this Content together … that’s what some promo guy would say!
