Ever wondered what goes into making handmade watercolor paint from scratch?

My new step-by-step tutorial is live on the channel! In this video, I walk you through my exact recipe for making a traditional watercolor binder (using Gum Arabic, honey, and a drop of clove oil) and mulling a custom Buff Titanium + Van Dyke Brown blend on glass.

We even experiment with adding a splash of graphite powder at the end to create a fun, granulating gray tint with the leftover paint on the slab.

🎨 New video is live! Today we’re diving into the Sennelier mini oil sticks (specifically that amazing celadon color) to build up a textured abstract landscape.

We’re experimenting with everything from Gamsol washes on Arches oil paper to an unexpected texture hack using a plastic garlic bag mesh. Plus, I’m sharing a crucial tip on why you should never mix traditional oil pastels into wet oil paint if you want your artwork to actually dry!
