Hello everyone! Katie & I have an Ontario Parks Trip update for you!

We have completed 2 of our planned camping trips - SANDBANKS & MURPHYS POINT

We made a spur of the moment trip to LAKE ON THE MOUNTAIN after seeing the park crest patch available at Sandbanks and just had to check it out.

We also went to CHARLESTON LAKE as a last minute addition to our planned camping trips!

Starting with…

BON ECHO
We’ve wanted to go to this park for so long and the time is coming very soon when the long awaited trip is going to happen. We are very much looking forward to seeing what this park has to offer including the breathtaking views of Mazinaw Rock!

SILENT LAKE
This park is known for being relaxing and tranquil! We are very much looking forward to unplugging and relaxing as well as exploring this park!

PRESQU’ILE
Located on Lake Ontario, this park is known for its lighthouse and nature centre as well as great views over the lake. This one is on Katie’s list of must see parks!

NORTH BEACH
We learned about this park while at Sandbanks as we saw they also had park crest patches available so we added it to our list for the summer! This is a great day use park to enjoy the beach and swimming!

FRONTENAC
I’ve been to Frontenac before for some hiking as there is no car camping available. Only back country camping which can be accessible by hiking or paddling. I wanted to bring Katie to see this park so we are planning a trip here. We are still unsure as to if we will only go for the day or if we will try a back country camping trip. But we for sure know we are going at least for a paddle on some of the beautiful lakes there!

Will we explore more?? Probably! We just haven’t booked that far ahead into the fall time yet.

Katie & I made this unexpected stop to Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park in Picton, Ontario! While we were at Sandbanks we noticed they had the park crest available for Lake on the Mountain! So…we just had to check it out!! This small day use park sits on the most unique little lake over looking the beautiful Prince Edward County. There is even a historic Inn you can check out and grab a drink and a bite to eat overlooking the water! Our first camping trip of 2026 is officially complete! Katie & I went to Sandbanks Provincial Park in Picton, Ontario! What an amazing way to kick off the season! We had a fantastic time exploring the park! From the sunset to the sand dunes to the wildlife there’s so much to see! We barely scratched the surface! Check out our video review coming on Saturday May 2nd 2026 at 9am! Happy camping!
