These days I am very busy, and I could not notice in time (03 or 04/02/2021) that the channel crossed the line of 3000 subscribers! And... this is strange considering that there is still no new material. Well, at least this means that the works of the great maestro aren't forgotten. However, as well as last time, I'll have to disappoint you. Today, exactly 7 months after the release of the last video, I officially suspend my work on the channel. Most likely, I will resume work in the middle of June. In case of any changes, I will notify you. Wishing the best, and thank you for your patience.
So, what do we have?
2020 is coming to end, and soon the channel will be 1 year old! And I would like to summarize some general results.
Over the past year, unimaginable results have been achieved. The main content - extended versions of the full JMJ albums - have seen massive views - Equinoxe and Oxygene have riched over 300,000 and 200,000 views, respectively, and Magnetic Fields and Waiting for Cousteau continue to gain in popularity!
The videos brought over 2,300 subscribers here. Despite the fact that the amount of subscribers is many times less than the views of my main videos, I, of course, glad to everyone!
Most interestingly, the second growth of the channel, which began on July 1, during the release of Music for Supermarkets, doesn't stop until now, despite the lack of new videos for 5 months already (the first growth lasted from March 25 to May 9 and was interrupted due to an accidentaly Oxygene removal). And despite all this, you stay with me and attract more and more people, and for this I am very grateful to you.
And, of course, I understand that my creations aren't perfect and require improvement. It takes a lot of time, which I don't have, but I will try to do what I can.
By the January, I will sum up more accurate statistics of the channel's development.
So, once again I thank everyone and wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
See you later!
04/12/2020: Woah! 2000 subscribers here! It's impossible! But, since it actually is...
In fact, I didn't really hope that my ideas and experiments, which I am distributing here, would attract attention. But even with such a long period of inactivity on the channel, there are more and more people here. In just ONE MONTH, the number of viewers (or, probably, listeners) has doubled!
And, unfortunately, I must say that I still havn't been able to do substantial work on the projects that will be reissued. I'm sorry if I disappointed you. But, anyway, I will not leave them, and will try to finish as soon as I can.
I started getting complaints about the ads in my videos. To avoid distorting the view statistics, I never listened to the channel's videos on the channel itself, so I learned about advertising only from viewers.
This happened without my knowledge and participation. Most likely, given the relatively rapid growth in viewability of the extended version of the Equinoxe album (for example), copyright holders saw the potential for monetization in it. I don't receive any money from advertising (in fact, I have no rights), and as far as I have determined so far, I can't change it in any way.
But there is a positive side here: videos with monetization are unlikely to be at risk of being blocked because of copyright infringement. Meanwhile, in the titles of some videos, I had to shorten the name Jean-Michel Jarre to J.-M. Jarre, to prevent blocking.
I hope for your understanding. Thank you for staying with us.
I want to thank you for the channel's achievements of 1,000 subscribers and 200,000 views! I am very grateful for viewing, evaluating, and sharing my work.
I must also say that due to the workload, I don't have enough time for productive work on the content, so, perhaps, I will be able to upload new videos only in the end of the year, or maybe a little bit later.
I have a question for all:
Now I have a new project in the process, but the finished extended albums have been rightly criticized for poor sound quality. Would you like to see updated versions of Jarre's extended albums on the channel?
