Proverbs 21:1-2 AMP
The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it whichever way He wishes. Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs and examines the hearts [of people and their motives].
This proverb speaks to the idea that God is ultimately in control and can guide and direct even the hearts of powerful rulers. It also reminds us that while we may think our own ways are just, it is ultimately God who judges our hearts and intentions.
