Krishna is GOVINDA - the master of the cows , He is GOPALA - the friend of the cows. Infact, He is a cowherd boy himself. Cows have a very significant place in Krishna’s pastimes.
Moreover, Cows are considered as one of the 7 mothers as mentioned in Srimad Bhagavatam purport (7.12.8) by Srila Prabhupada.

ātma-mātā guroḥ patnī
brāhmaṇī rāja-patnikā
dhenur dhātrī tathā pṛthvī
saptaitā mātaraḥ smṛtāḥ

It’s our great good fortune to be able to spend some quality time with these beautiful creatures at GITA NAGARI ECO FARM , Pennsylvania, US this past weekend. Our 3 year old daughter wasn’t ready to leave from Tulasi’s (cow’s name) side. (See the photos)😬Yes, every cow at this slaughter-free dairy farm has a unique name, and these cows are respectfully treated as loving family members.

Her spiritual journey is truly inspiring. Born in an affluent business class family, a fashion designer by profession, she took to this spiritual path in desperate search for answers to her deep questions about the purpose of human life, why are we born and where do we go after death?

Her profound insights on the parallelism between Vaishnavism and Sikhism are thought-provoking and affirming that different religions are teaching one universal message of our mortality in this material world, the importance of spiritual master in one’s life and the divine supreme.

🙏 Offering to HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj on his auspicious Vyasapuja(Birthday) 🙏

Back in 2017 I stumbled upon HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj’s autobiography “The journey home” when I had very little understanding about ISKCON. On the cover page it was written “An autobiography of An American Swami”. The words “American" and "Swami” put together caught my attention. 
For lack of a better word, I would say that I DEVOURED that book in no time. I binge-read it and was hooked onto it till the end.
After I completed reading this book, I felt as If I’m missing something, why did I finish reading it so fast. I wanted to relive every word, every sentence, every page of this book again and again. And this had never happened with me before. Yes this book was “adventure redefined” for me . ❤️

What inspired me the most??

Maharaj’s insatiable quest for seeking the authentic higher truth and finding answers for questions about his very existence and his purpose.

His unwavering determination despite all the hardships, obstacles , adversities he faced on his journey while hitchhiking his way from one continent to another till he finally landed into the holy land of Vrindavan.

When the border security stopped him at Indian border because Maharaj did not have a valid visa, he promised that if he’s given a chance to enter the spiritual land of India, one day he’ll serve and give back to this country . We see now how Maharaj lived up to his promise by making tremendous contributions towards not only spiritual development, but a holistic development  of our society at various levels through different initiatives  like Food For Life, Bhakti Vedanta Hospital, and United Nations awarded and globally recognized Govardhan eco village. He inspires millions of souls worldwide to seek the higher self.

Despite his deep determination and intense desire to serve prabhupada’s mission, he always maintained a very nonjudgmental and compassionate awra around him for all fellow humans. He exhibits the characteristic of a true well-wisher to all humanity and compassionate towards all living beings “pandita Samah darshina” (BG 5.18)

He is the epitome of perfect balance between intensity of his spiritual desires and sensitivity towards others while sharing this spiritual wisdom”.

Thank you Maharaj for your association through your lectures, your ecstatic kirtans and your books.
