Hiya all,
I’m considering some ideas for my book in progress (“Chasing the Crimson Tide”) and I’d really appreciate it if you could help me decide which ideas I should include! 💙

1. One of the characters is going to betray them all. It’ll be obvious towards the end of the book that one of them is a traitor but I can’t decide which character would give the best plot twist! Some options are:
Francesca 🧙🏻- (sarcastic, rude, thief,
medieval witch they meet later in
the book)- she’s an untrustworthy
character so it would make sense
for her to be the traitor, but she
could also have some really good
character development instead.
-Addie 🧚 (toddler, powerful fae, cute
character involved from the
start of the book)- he could
be some powerful being
trapped in a young body but
I don’t know if that would be
too unbelievable?
-Jasper 🐺 (werewolf, reliable, kind,
sturdy, present from the start)
-he’d crush the characters’
hearts and make them feel
most betrayed but he’s a
pretty obvious choice as
traitor- not very original

2. Mia (main character) has insomnia. As they all go back in time to the medieval era on accident, she might consume this herbal poppy tea they used to drink to help with insomnia. This tea actually had opium in it (an addictive drug). She could accidentally become addicted and that would haunt her throughout the book. ☕️📞


3. As Addie’s powers accidentally blast them back in time and they have to find a way to get back to the present, they could get blasted into the future later in the book.
I could incorporate some dystopian themes into this and/or drop them into the middle of an apocalypse. They could also get separated in the switch and try to navigate each other in a strange new world 🌍 🧟
