Future Humanity

BREAKING. Elon Musk is now worth $852 billion.

He is officially the richest person in the world, the only individual in the $800B club, and is now projected to become the world’s first trillionaire this year.

This is not a spike from one company or one cycle. It is the result of stacking long-term bets across rockets, energy, AI, robotics, satellites, and infrastructure. While most fortunes are built by protecting downside, this one was built by repeatedly risking everything on outcomes most people said were impossible.

Whether people admire it or criticize it, this scale of impact is unprecedented.

Do you think a trillionaire era changes how power works, or was it inevitable?

Future Humanity

BREAKING. Elon Musk says Starship could launch every hour, carrying 200 tons per flight.

At that cadence, millions of tons of space-based data centers could reach orbit every year, adding up to 100 gigawatts of AI compute annually.

This flips the economics of intelligence. With near-constant launches, reusable rockets, and abundant solar power in orbit, space stops being exotic and starts becoming efficient.

Cooling is natural. Energy is clean. Risk from Earth-based disruptions drops sharply. At scale, orbit may simply be the cheapest place to run AI.

If compute moves off-planet, what do you think changes first on Earth?

Future Humanity

A new report from the Pentagon just dropped. And it sends a wake-up call to the world.

THE POWER SCOPE

The war for the future of warfare is already being fought, and it’s not with fighter jets. It's with drones.
according to the Pentagon’s latest annual China Military Power Report.

The study says Beijing is carrying out a sweeping effort to modernize and expand its unmanned aerial systems. In just the past few years, China has rolled out advanced platforms such as the WZ-7 Soaring Dragon, the high-speed WZ-8 reconnaissance drone, and an updated version of the stealthy GJ-11 combat drone. These systems, once showcased at airshows, are now appearing in operations across the region.

U.S. officials note that China’s rapid progress is most visible in drones, rather than across the entire air force. But the pace is striking. The People’s Liberation Army is “modernizing and indigenizing” its drone technology at a speed that is beginning to approach U.S. standards.

The Pentagon isn’t standing still. In response, Washington plans to roll out thousands of low-cost, expendable drones under its ambitious Replicator program, a strategy aimed at countering Beijing’s growing military presence in the Indo-Pacific.

China’s ambitions go far beyond surveillance. New uses include anti-submarine warfare, firefighting, and even weather modification. Beijing is also experimenting with “manned-unmanned teaming” and swarming tactics — scenarios where drones fly in coordination with piloted aircraft to overwhelm defenses.

A major focus is artificial intelligence. Chinese researchers are pushing AI into every part of warfare, from predictive maintenance and logistics to autonomous targeting systems. By 2030, the PLA expects AI-driven tools to be fully embedded into its operations, shaping what officials describe as “algorithmic” and “network-centric” warfare.

The Pentagon warns that these advances are already reshaping the future battlefield. While the U.S. maintains a technological edge overall, both sides are now racing to ensure they don’t fall behind in the next era of drone and AI-driven conflict.

There are also reports of intense shelling and loud explosions in border areas of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, according to Reuters news agency.

Relations between India and Pakistan have declined sharply following a deadly militant attack on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir last month. Pakistan has denied any involvement in the attacks. Indian police earlier claimed two of the attackers were Pakistani citizens.
