Bad news guys, I bought a battery for the panel (which I was told it was sealed lead acid battery) but turns out it was the battery was a ELB battery, well I plugged it into the panel and I fried the circuit board. The picture here shows the nice and crispy part that no longer allows my panel to work.

Heard this outside my house, thought the world was ending but no, it’s just John Travolta taking off from jumbolair with his 737-3L9. Perfectly normal to take off at 11 at night.😭

Just got a new panel board, this is the 411UDAC fire alarm communicator. Unfortunately I can use this yet because I don’t have a transformer for it but I’m looking into getting an enclosure for it along with a transformer. A bit of info about this panel, it has 4 zones and only 1 NAC circuit. This is the second panel I’ve ever bought and I got this board for 60$ which isn’t to bad for one of these. These normally are priced around 100$ if you’re lucky to find one.

I used MCM cable as conduit for these devices, very hard to work with. The wire itself is thick copper and not made of copper strands unlike other stuff. It looks good though so that a plus. This took me about 4 hours or so to do because I’ve never worked with this stuff before and it not easy to bend.

I might not be able to post much this month guys as I’ve got a lot of work that’s popping up from my school and it’s quite exhausting to manage this channel while also getting decent grades, so I will post a little less frequently this month unfortunately, sorry
