~ thinned carrots = chicken snacks
~ greenhouse is full of seedlings to share with friends
~ daily duck naps under the wheelbarrow
~ strawberries are comin’ in hot
~ harvesting broccolini, radishes, bok choy, parsley, cilantro, dill, and so many greens right now

We always walk our property the day after Christmas & chat about our plans, goals, and ideas for the new year. Today we found a lot more trees down from the hurricane than we’d previously realized!

✳️Hurricane Helene Update✳️

Hey all,

Wanted to update you in case anyone was worried. We are safe, our property, spare some big trees in the woods, a bunch of leaf debris, and a whole lotta water weathered the hurricane this morning just fine. Our animals are all safe, although a tad angry they got their breakfast late today😆

We have no power, and likely won’t for at least a couple of days if not longer - but we have no estimates right now. We’ve been cleaning up trees to unblock roads in our neighborhood today, alongside neighbors. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like many landed on homes/cars, mostly just on the power lines & roads.

The weather has let up & it’s sunny right now☀️ so I’ll be walking around the property and filming a video to show you guys what’s up! I’ve been taking little video clips of the storms since last night. Who knows when I’ll be able to post the video - but cross your fingers for us that it’s soon!🤞🏼
