Professor Brook Ziporyn:
"Thanks to the Notorious HGM for having me on the channel for a fine ramble of a conversation, and to all you Carefree Wanderers out there for lending it your time and attention--and for all the provocative comments, both pro and con. Clearly we just scratched the surface of what might be said about all this, but it was a rollicking good time to at least crack open a few of these cans of worms. More to come, as always. Looking forward to the next round. Comments on the book, now available, are also very welcome."

Professor Hans-Georg Moeller:
"When I read Brook's book, I had a strange feeling: This is, for a change, actually a _real_ philosophy book. I was a bit surprised to see that such books are still written (in the academic industry)."

On Tuesday, March 19, at 7.00 pm Prof. Moeller will do a presentation on "Contradictions of China" in Belgrade, Serbia. The venue is Govorni programi KC REX, Ulica Obilićev venac 2 (Tanjug building). The event is free.

The presentation outlines impressions on the social and political situation(s) in China and comment on misunderstandings from the perspective of Western frames of reference. While views on China in Serbia also vary, the common history of resistance against colonial interventions and occupations may provide some orientation when struggling with the contradictory characteristics of contemporary China.
